A tëherë Balaami shqiptoi orakullin e tij dhe tha: "Balaku, mbret i Moabit, më ka sjellë nga Arami, nga malet e Lindjes: "Eja, mallko për mua Jakobin, eja dhe padit Izraelin!".

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
