N dërsa shijonte verën, Belshatsari dha urdhër të sillnin vazot prej ari dhe prej argjendi që i ati Nebukadnetsari kishte marrë nga tempulli që ishte në Jeruzalem, me qëllim që me to të pinin mbreti dhe të mëdhenjtë që ishin me të, bashkëshortet e tij dhe konkubinat e tij.

While he tasted the wine, Belshazzar gave the command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple which had been in Jerusalem, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them.
