A tëherë Nebukadnetsari u mbush me inat dhe shprehja e fytyrës së tij ndryshoi ndaj Shadrakut, Meshakut dhe Abed-negos. Duke marrë përsëri fjalën, urdhëroi që furra të ngrohej shtatë herë më shumë se zakonisht.

¶ Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; therefore he spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was customary to be heated.
