O bijë e popullit tim, vishu me thes dhe rrotullohu në hi; mbaj zi si për një bir të vetëm, me një vajtim shumë të hidhur, sepse shkatërruesi do të sulet mbi ne papritmas.

Daughter of my people, clothe yourself with sackcloth, and wallow in ashes! Mourn, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; for the destroyer shall suddenly come on us.
