K ështu thotë Zoti i ushtrive: "Muret e gjëra të Babilonisë do të prishen krejtësisht, portat e saj të larta do të digjen me zjarr; kështu popujt do të kenë punuar për asgjë dhe kombet do të jenë munduar vetëm për zjarrin".

Yahweh of Armies says: The wide walls of Babylon shall be utterly overthrown, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the peoples shall labor for vanity, and the nations for the fire; and they shall be weary.
