P astaj Hananiahu foli në prani të të gjithë popullit, duke thënë: Kështu thotë Zoti: Në këtë mënyrë unë do të thyej zgjedhën ee Nebukadnetsarit, mbretit të Babilonisë, brenda dy vjetëve, nga qafa e të gjitha kombeve. Profeti Jeremia iku nëpër rrugën e tij.

And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: So will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.
