P astaj ata u nisën nga Elimi dhe tërë asambleja e bijve të Izraelit arriti në shkretëtirën e Sinit, që ndodhet midis Elimit dhe Sinait, ditën e pesëmbëdhjetë të muajit të dytë mbas nisjes së tyre nga vendi i Egjiptit.

All the people of Israel left Elim, and came to the Desert of Sin, between Elim and Sinai. It was the fifteenth day of the second month after they left the land of Egypt.
