P randaj mblodhi priftërinjtë dhe Levitët dhe u tha atyre: "Shkoni në qytetet e Judës dhe mblidhni vit për vit nga gjithë Izraeli paratë që nevojiten për të restauruar shtëpinë e Perëndisë tuaj; përpiquni ta kryeni shpejt këtë punë". Por Levitët nuk treguan asnjë nxitim.

and he gathereth the priests and the Levites, and saith to them, `Go out to the cities of Judah, and gather from all Israel money to strengthen the house of your God sufficiently year by year, and ye, ye do haste to the matter;' and the Levites have not hasted.
