K ështu mbreti nuk e dëgjoi popullin, sepse zhvillimi i ngjarjeve varej nga Perëndia, me qëllim që Zoti ta çonte në vend fjalën e tij, që ia kishte drejtuar Jeroboamit, birit të Nebatit, me anë të Ahijahut nga Shilohu.

So the king did not hearken unto the people, for the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spoke by the hand of Ahijah, the Shilonite, unto Jeroboam, the son of Nebat.
