A tëherë Davidi u këshillua me Zotin duke i thënë: "A duhet të dal kundër Filistejve? A do m’i lësh në duart e mia? Zoti i dha këtë përgjigje Davidit: Dil, sepse pa tjetër do t’i lë Filistejtë në duart e tuaa".

David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand? And the Lord said to David, Go up, for I will surely deliver into your hand.
