P astaj Absalomi u ndesh me njerëzit e Davidit. Absalomi i kishte hipur një mushke, e cila u fut poshtë degëve të dendura të një lisi të madh dhe koka e Absalomit mbeti e kapur në lis, dhe ai mbeti i varur midis qiellit dhe tokës; ndërkaq mushka që ndodhej poshtë tij po kalonte tutje.

Then Absalom met the servants of David. Absalom rode on a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and Absalom’s head caught fast of the oak; and the mule under him ran away, leaving him hanging between the heavens and the earth.
