J oabi shkoi atëherë te mbreti dhe ia tregoi çështjen. Ky thirri Absalomin që shkoi te mbreti dhe ra përmbys me fytyrën për tokë përpara tij; dhe mbreti e puthi Absalomin.

So Joab came to the king and told him. Then he called Absalom, who came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king; and the king kissed Absalom.
