A tëherë Absalomi u tha shërbëtorëve të tij: "Ja, ara e Joabit është pranë arës sime dhe aty ka elb; shkoni t’i vini zjarrin!". Kështu shërbëtorët e Absalomit i vunë zjarrin arës.

And he saith unto his servants, `See, the portion of Joab by the side of mine, and he hath barley there; go, and burn it with fire;' and the servants of Absalom burn the portion with fire.
