A tëherë Zoti Perëndi i tha gjarprit: "Me qenë se bëre këtë gjë, qofsh i mallkuar ndër gjithë kafshët dhe tërë bishat e fushave! Ti do të ecësh mbi barkun tënd dhe do të hash pluhur gjithë ditët e jetës sate.

And the Lord God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all animals and above every living thing of the field; upon your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
