S o David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul’s bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the Lord was fallen upon them.

Như vậy, Đa-vít lấy cây giáo và bình nước nơi đầu giường của Sau-lơ, rồi hai người đi. Không ai thấy hay là biết, và cũng chẳng ai tỉnh thức; hết thảy ngủ, vì Đức Giê-hô-va đã khiến sự ngủ mê giáng trên chúng nó.
