S aul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Beth-el, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

Saül choisit trois mille hommes d'Israël: deux mille étaient avec lui à Micmasch et sur la montagne de Béthel, et mille étaient avec Jonathan à Guibea de Benjamin. Il renvoya le reste du peuple, chacun à sa tente.
