F or the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.

Los hijos de José se dividieron en dos tribus, la de Manasés y la de Efraín, y a los levitas no se les dieron tierras. No tuvieron parte en la repartición, aunque sí recibieron ciudades en las cuales vivir, junto con ejidos para sus ganados y rebaños.
