Deuteronomy 9:4 ~ 5 Mose 9:4

S peak not thou in thine heart, after that the Lord thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the Lord hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord doth drive them out from before thee.

Wenn nun der HERR, dein Gott, sie ausgestoßen hat vor dir her, so sprich nicht in deinem Herzen: Der HERR hat mich hereingeführt, dies Land einzunehmen, um meiner Gerechtigkeit willen, so doch der HERR diese Heiden vertreibt vor dir her um ihres gottlosen Wesens willen.
