( as it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Como está escrito: “Eu o constituí pai de muitas nações”. Ele é nosso pai aos olhos de Deus, em quem creu, o Deus que dá vida aos mortos e chama à existência coisas que não existem, como se existissem.
