b ecause that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Poiché, pur avendo conosciuto Dio, non l'hanno però glorificato né l'hanno ringraziato come Dio, anzi sono divenuti insensati nei loro ragionamenti e il loro cuore senza intendimento si è ottenebrato.
