A nd when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

وَكانَ هِيرُودُسُ يُرِيدُ أنْ يُحاكِمَ بُطرُسَ عَلَناً فِي اليَومِ التّالِي. فِي تِلكَ اللَّيلَةِ كانَ بُطرُسُ نائِماً بَينَ جُندِيَّيْنِ، مُقَيَّداً بِسِلسِلَتَينِ. وَكانَ هُناكَ حُرّاسٌ عِندَ البَوّابَةِ يُراقِبُونَ السِّجنَ.
