W hen Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Viendo Pilato que nada conseguía, sino que más bien se formaba un tumulto, tomó agua y se lavó las manos delante del pueblo, diciendo: Soy inocente de la sangre de este justo; allá vosotros.
