A nd he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:

وَأخَذَ مُوسَى لَوحَيِّ الشَّهادَةِ وَوَضَعَهُما فِي الصُّندُوقِ. وَوَضَعَ العَصَوَينِ فِي حَلَقاتِ الصُّندُوقِ، وَوَضَعَ الغِطاءَ فَوقَ الصُّندُوقِ.
