Y et many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.

Hai avuto pazienza con loro molti anni, mentre li avvertivi per mezzo del tuo Spirito e per bocca dei tuoi profeti; ma essi non vollero dare ascolto, e tu li hai messi in mano ai popoli dei paesi stranieri.
