M oreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.

Amaţia i-a strâns pe cei din Iuda, a aşezat tot poporul lui Iuda şi al lui Beniamin după familiile lor, potrivit căpeteniilor peste mii şi căpeteniilor peste sute şi i-a numărat pe cei de la douăzeci de ani în sus. Astfel, a găsit trei sute de mii de oameni aleşi, în stare să iasă la luptă şi să mânuiască lancea şi scutul.
