T hen David put garrisons in Syria-damascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.

ثُمَّ وَضَعَ داوُدُ حامِياتٍ عَسْكَرِيَّةً فِي أرامَ دِمَشْقَ. وَخَضَعَ الأراميُّونَ لِداوُدَ وَبَدأُوا يَدفَعُونَ لَهُ الجِزيَةَ. وَكانَ اللهُ يَنصُرُ داوُدَ حَيثُما ذَهَبَ.
