A nd the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the Lord,

Cosí i tre si aprirono un varco attraverso il campo filisteo e attinsero l'acqua dal pozzo di Betlemme che era alla porta; quindi la presero e la portarono a Davide. Ma Davide non ne volle bere, ma la versò in libazione, davanti all'Eterno.
