A nd Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قالَ الوَكِيلُ شافانُ لِلمَلِكِ: «لَقَدْ أعطانِي الكاهِنُ حِلْقِيا هَذا الكِتابَ.» وَقَرَأ شافانُ الكِتابَ عَلَى المَلِكِ.
