A nd the Lord smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

O Senhor feriu o rei com lepra, até o dia de sua morte. Durante todo esse tempo ele morou numa casa separada. Jotão, filho do rei, tomava conta do palácio e governava o povo.
