a nd spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

parlò invece al popolo secondo il consiglio dei giovani, dicendo: «Mio padre ha reso pesante il vostro giogo, ma io lo renderò piú pesante ancora; mio padre vi ha castigati con fruste, ma io vi castigherò con flagelli».
