t he Lord hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the Lord hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.

O Senhor te deu agora a paga de todo o sangue da casa de Saul, em cujo lugar tens reinado; já entregou o Senhor o reino na mão de Absalão, teu filho; e eis-te agora na desgraça, pois és um homem sanguinário.
