T ornou o Senhor a chamar: Samuel! E Samuel se levantou, foi a Eli e disse: Eis-me aqui, porque tu me chamaste. Mas ele disse: Eu não te chamei, filho meu; torna a deitar-te.

Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” He answered, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.”
