P ortanto, virando as costas diante dos homens de Israel, fugiram para o caminho do deserto; porém a peleja os apertou; e os que saíam das cidades os destruíam no meio deles.

So they turned their backs to the men of Israel and ran toward the desert. But they were caught in the battle. Those who came out of the cities destroyed them.
