P erguntaram os filisteus: Quem fez isto? Respondeu-se-lhes: Sansão, o genro do timnita, porque este lhe tomou a sua mulher, e a deu ao seu companheiro. Subiram, pois, os filisteus, e queimaram a fogo a ela e a seu pai.

Then the Philistines said, Who has done this? And they were told, Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife and has given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.
