E ntão Josué falou ao Senhor, no dia em que o Senhor entregou os amorreus na mão dos filhos de Israel, e disse na presença de Israel: Sol, detém-se sobre Gibeão, e tu, lua, sobre o vale de Aijalom.

Then Joshua spoke unto the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
