P orquanto, ainda que vos contristei com a minha carta, não me arrependo; embora antes me tivesse arrependido (pois vejo que aquela carta vos contristou, ainda que por pouco tempo),

For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent; for I perceive that the same epistle has made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
