E ntão aquele discípulo a quem Jesus amava disse a Pedro: Senhor. Quando, pois, Simão Pedro ouviu que era o Senhor, cingiu-se com a túnica, porque estava despido, e lançou-se ao mar;

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord! Simon Peter, hearing him say that it was the Lord, put (girded) on his upper garment (his fisherman’s coat, his outer tunic)—for he was stripped —and sprang into the sea.
