O meu Deus enviou o seu anjo, e fechou a boca dos leões, e eles não me fizeram mal algum; porque foi achada em mim inocência diante dele; e também diante de ti, ó rei, não tenho cometido delito algum.

My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths and they have not harmed me, inasmuch as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.”
