E ntão o rei engrandeceu a Daniel, e lhe deu muitas e grandes dádivas, e o pôs por governador sobre toda a província de Babilônia, como também o fez chefe principal de todos os sábios de Babilônia.

Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.
