P orque o Senhor consolará a Sião; consolará a todos os seus lugares assolados, e fará o seu deserto como o Edem e a sua solidão como o jardim do Senhor; gozo e alegria se acharão nela, ação de graças, e voz de cântico.

For the Lord will comfort Zion. He will comfort all her waste places. He will make her desert like Eden, like the garden of the Lord. Joy and happiness will be found in her. There will be much giving of thanks and much singing.
