D e que me serve a mim a multidão de vossos sacrifícios? diz o Senhor. Estou farto dos holocaustos de carneiros, e da gordura de animais cevados; e não me agrado do sangue de novilhos, nem de cordeiros, nem de bodes.

What unto me is the multitude of your sacrifices? saith Jehovah: I have had enough of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats.
