P elo que os teria destruído, como dissera, se Moisés, seu escolhido, não se tivesse interposto diante dele, para desviar a sua indignação, a fim de que não os destruísse.

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn’t destroy them.
