E ntiaram-se as cartas pelos correios a todas províncias do rei, para que destruíssem, matassem, e fizessem perecer todos os judeus, moços e velhos, crianças e mulheres, em um mesmo dia, a treze do duodécimo mês, que é o mês de adar, e para que lhes saqueassem os bens.

And the letters were sent by couriers into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, upon the thirteenth of the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, and the spoil of them for a prey.
