E ntão o rei, pondo-se em pé junto ã coluna, fez um pacto perante o Senhor, de andar com o Senhor, e guardar os seus mandamentos, os seus testemunhos e os seus estatutos, de todo o coração e de toda a alma, confirmando as palavras deste pacto, que estavam escritas naquele livro; e todo o povo esteve por este pacto.

And the king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book: and all the people stood to the covenant.
