E ntão Davi pôs guarnições em Síria de Damasco, e os sírios ficaram por servos de Davi, pagando-lhe tributos. E o Senhor lhe dava a vitória por onde quer que ia.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
