E ntão ele respondeu: Que penhor é o que te darei? Disse ela: O teu selo com a corda, e o cajado que está em tua mão. Ele, pois, lhos deu, e esteve com ela, e ela concebeu dele.

And he said, What pledge shall I give you? She said, Your signet, your cord, and your staff that is in your hand. And he gave them to her and came in to her, and she became pregnant by him.
