H e may sentence him to no more than forty stripes. He shall not give more; lest, if he should give more, and beat him more than that many stripes, then your brother will be degraded in your sight.

只 可 打 他 四 十 下 ， 不 可 过 数 ； 若 过 数 ， 便 是 轻 贱 你 的 弟 兄 了 。
