A tunci David le-a zis tuturor slujitorilor săi: – Să fugim repede! Altfel nu vom scăpa de Absalom! Să plecăm în grabă ca nu cumva să fie mai iute decât noi şi să ne ajungă. Pentru că astfel va aduce nenorocirea asupra noastră şi va trece cetatea prin ascuţişul sabiei.

Then David said unto all his slaves that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee, for we shall not otherwise escape from Absalom; make speed to depart lest he overtake us suddenly and bring evil upon us and smite the city with the edge of the sword.
