T hen news came to Joab, for Joab had defected to Adonijah, though he had not defected to Absalom. So Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and took hold of the horns of the altar.

Esta noticia llegó a oídos de Joab, que también había apoyado a Adonías, aunque no se había unido a Absalón. En cuanto lo supo, huyó al tabernáculo del Señor y se aferró a los cuernos del altar.
