A t that moment the servants of David and Joab came from a raid and brought much spoil with them. But Abner was not with David in Hebron, for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

Ioab şi oamenii lui David s'au întors dela urmărirea unei cete, şi au adus cu ei o mare pradă. Abner nu mai era la David în Hebron, căci David îi dăduse drumul, şi plecase în pace.
